Mr Sudhir Singh has recently joined Edprom Consultancy as a Senior Advisor and is slated to take up overall management of the company shortly. Having been a part of the industry for more than 40 years in the Hydrocarbon projects, he has in-depth knowledge and hands on experience of all aspects of project conceptualization, management and execution.
Prior to becoming a part of Edprom Consultancy, he served as Head of Projects at Nayara Energy in Mumbai, overseeing a team of 150 professionals managing a project portfolio valued at USD 6–7 billion. His key achievements include leading a ~$1 billion Petrochemical project to over 95% completion within 27 months—despite challenges like COVID-19—while achieving cost savings of over $200 million. His earlier roles at Essar Oil and Engineers India Ltd. included responsibilities across project coordination, petrochemical complex management, and leadership in strategic expansions, cementing his status as a results-driven executive with deep technical and operational expertise.
He has proven track record of building the complete project management teams from scratch as he had the chance to do it twice.
Throughout his career, he has consistently demonstrated strengths in safety systems, cost optimization, stakeholder engagement, and team development. His leadership during his tenure in Engineers India Ltd. spanned critical projects in refinery, petrochemical, and pipeline development, where he progressed from front line execution to leadership positions. He was also a part of the Vigilance Department (Compliance) where he contributed significantly in digitization of tendering processes and to promote transparency within the organization. With formal training in NDT, welding inspection, arbitration and vigilance protocols, he brings both technical acumen and governance insight to his roles. Mr A K Jha is an accomplished project management and engineering professional with extensive experience in managing large-scale international and domestic projects, particularly in the oil and gas, refinery, and petrochemical sectors. His career includes significant leadership roles in projects executed in various countries, such as Algeria, Malaysia, and South Korea. Notably, he served as Project Director for the Skikda Refinery Project in Algeria, where he oversaw the preparation of FEED, bid evaluation, and award of multiple EPCC packages. This $2.5 billion project involved both brownfield and greenfield units, including the CDU, FCCU, ISOM, and SRU, and required managing complex coordination between local and international teams. He also played a key role in the Algiers Refinery Project, leading project execution from New Delhi while maintaining close coordination with clients and vendors across Algeria, Korea, and China. These projects spanned several years, and his leadership ensured successful project completion and the seamless handling of all engineering and procurement activities.
In addition to his work in Algeria, Mr Jha's experience includes managing several international projects such as the Petronas Fertilizer Project in Malaysia, where he was responsible for welding and NDT management during the construction of a gas-based ammonia-urea fertilizer plant. He also contributed to the HBJ Gas Pipeline Project in India, a 1,700 km pipeline project for GAIL, and the Skikda Refinery in Algeria. His expertise spans various critical functions such as project coordination, engineering supervision, and procurement management. Jha has successfully managed multi-billion-dollar projects by ensuring timely delivery, cost control, and high-quality execution across various international sites. His ability to navigate complex engineering challenges, work with diverse teams, and deliver large-scale projects has earned him a reputation for excellence in the industry.
With Graduation in Engineering and MBA in Finance, Mr Gyan Anand is a seasoned finance professional with over 35 years of experience in corporate and project finance, as well as in the end-to-end development of large-scale, capital-intensive projects. He possesses a robust track record in mobilizing funds from both Indian and international financial markets through diverse instruments such as External Commercial Borrowings and Rupee Term Loans. Gyan has cultivated and managed strategic relationships with global financial institutions, credit rating agencies, investors, joint venture partners, and advisory firms. His expertise spans the entire project lifecycle—ranging from conceptualization to financial closure—while ensuring robust commercial and financial governance.
With a rich background in managing greenfield and brownfield projects across various core sectors, Gyan has developed deep insights into strategic planning, financial structuring, Financial modeling, and commercial decision-making. His portfolio includes key roles in debt restructuring, corporate structuring, and financial management for complex infrastructure, energy, and industrial ventures. Notable assignments include overseeing finance for a $0.7 billion Polypropylene project at Nayara Energy during the Covid pandamic, securing board approvals for an $8 billion Ethylene Cracker project, and raising over $5 billion for ten power projects at Essar. He has also played an instrumental role in major capital-raising initiatives such as the $2 billion IPO of Essar Energy plc on the London Stock Exchange.
Mr Shailendra Bhatnagar is a seasoned Senior Project and Construction Manager with over 35 years of experience in the civil infrastructure sector. Throughout his career, he has overseen high-value projects across multiple regions of India, with a focus on petrochemical, refinery, and infrastructure development. Notably, he has led projects such as the Integrated Refinery Expansion Project in Kochi, the Paradip Refinery in Odisha, and several key infrastructure initiatives for the Delhi Development Authority. Being in multiple leadership positions in Engineers India Limited, Mr Bhatnagar managed large-scale construction operations and was instrumental in the development of significant infrastructure projects, including water distribution systems, solid waste management, and transportation infrastructure. His ability to optimize time, resources, and cost has consistently contributed to successful project delivery.
Mr Bhatnagar’s expertise extends beyond construction management into strategic areas such as vendor negotiations, human resource management, and administrative oversight. He has been directly involved in pioneering initiatives such as the "SBU for Intelligent Buildings," which later evolved into the organization’s Infrastructure Division. Additionally, his experience in construction management spans various sectors, including the petrochemical industry, real estate, and transportation infrastructure, where he has handled projects worth over Rs 40,000 Crore. Bhatnagar's leadership and deep technical knowledge have enabled him to oversee complex projects, implement quality standards, and improve operational efficiency. He is also an active member of multiple committees related to construction safety and quality in India.
With his extensive knowledge of civil and other infra-projects, Mr Bhatnagar is currently advising several companies in developing project proposals, cost estimation and dispute resolution.
Mr Anurag Tripathi, the founder of MaxSafety (click here for website)and former Head of Health & Safety for Shell in India, is a seasoned professional with over 42 years of experience in engineering, health and safety, and organizational leadership. He holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management. His extensive career spans significant roles in Bharat Shell and Bharat Petroleum, followed by over two decades in consulting and coaching across industries and geographies. He has served as Sr. Director HSE at Forvis-Mazars in India, empanelled consultant to GRASIM Industries, faculty member for National Safety Council, and a regular advisor to major corporations like KNPC, KOC, PDO, Shell, L&T, and Adani.
Mr Tripathi’s contributions include authoring papers on behaviour-based safety, gender and hierarchy at the workplace, and quality systems, which were presented at international conferences and published in reputed journals. He has conducted high-level safety audits, developed comprehensive HSE management systems, and delivered training modules in defensive driving, emergency preparedness, and hazard management. He has also been a visiting faculty member at premier institutions such as NITIE Mumbai and Petroleum India International, and participated in academic and professional forums globally. His blend of field expertise and academic involvement reflects a commitment to advancing health, safety, and operational excellence across industries.
